I have a background in medical administration, having worked as a PA/Executive Officer for many years in the NHS, teaching and research fields. My Mum died of a pulmonary embolism in 1982 following 4 admissions to hospital over the period of a week, when the diagnosis was missed each time! I met Professor Beverley Hunt in 2005 and worked as her temporary PA for several months. I was invited to take up the Executive Officer post for Lifeblood in September 2007. Please join me in helping to make Lifeblood the best charity possible for those whose lives have been affected by thrombosis. |
