Our aims
Lifeblood: The Thrombosis Charity aims to play a leading role in combating thrombosis by:
- Educating the public and healthcare professionals about all aspects of thrombosis
- Advancing medical knowledge through research into the causes, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of thrombosis
Lifeblood has a multi-track approach to raising awareness about thrombosis and will be producing a range of leaflets for the public and health care professionals. Lifeblood plans to hold a series of workshops, seminars and conferences throughout the UK, highlighting issues on thrombosis care and treatment.
Lifeblood aims to advance medical knowledge through supporting research. This will focus on a series of multi-disciplinary studies in two key areas: basic thrombosis science and diagnosis and management of thrombosis.
