Lifeblood launch
June 2004
Since Lifeblood's launch in October 2003 we have received hundreds of letters and calls welcoming the creation of the UK's first national charity dedicated to thrombosis.
Lifeblood has also has enormous support from the public
and health professionals, as well as stimulating a range of articles about
thrombosis in the national and local press, magazines
and radio.
Now, eight months on, we are launching our fundraising
campaign for thrombosis research in the UK, with a target of £750,000.

Lifeblood goes to government
April 2004
Over the last six months Lifeblood has held parliamentary events in London, Edinburgh and Cardiff. Peers, MPs, MSPs and Assembly members from all parties and decision makers from all over the UK attended these events, and were joined by supporters of Lifeblood: The Thrombosis Charity.
Those who came heard a call for thrombosis to be on national healthcare agendas, that more research was required and that people should be educated on how to prevent and treat the condition. Full story...
